You’re passionate about fresh and exotic ingredients, and you’re eager to learn how to prepare them in creative and delicious ways. You thrive on action and have the stamina to keep going, even when things get stressful.
You can pursue culinary training regardless of your high school diploma.
The program typically lasts three years. It can be shortened if you perform exceptionally well.
Highlights of the training program
- You'll learn a lot about food and sustainable food processing and preparation. Meat, fish, vegetarian, or vegan—we cover it all. Cooking is all about creativity!
- There's plenty of variety in the daily routine; no two days are alike, so boredom is the last thing you'll experience.

Tasks
- Independent management of the Knollenhütte in close coordination with a second person in charge
- Hosting our guests – being friendly, attentive, and enjoying personal interaction
- Open Mondays, Thursdays through Sundays, and on holidays (closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays)
- Ensuring a smooth service process
- Event management
- Coordinate product orders with the F&B Manager
- Receipt and systematic organization of goods delivered from the hotel
- Occasional assistance with transporting goods from the hotel to the cabin
- Responsibility for keeping the cabin tidy, clean, and in good overall condition
- Thorough cleaning of guest areas and restrooms at the end of the shift
- Maintaining the cabin and its surroundings—e.g., planting flowers, doing minor spruce-up work, or cleaning windows on quieter days
- Contributing your own ideas and actively helping to shape the lodge's future
Qualification
- Experience in the restaurant or hotel industry – formal training is preferred but not required
- Reliability and calm even on busy days with many guests
