Kitchen & Restaurant
Here, everything revolves around food and drink. It's about delicious flavors, fresh regional cuisine with creative dishes, and a huge selection of wines and beverages. You'll work closely together in the kitchen and in service—a real dream team! There are various jobs that fit together here, and most of the work is practical and hands-on. If you enjoy good food and teamwork, this is the place for you!
Room & Guest Services
Here, we ensure that guests feel right at home in cozy, beautifully furnished rooms with modern amenities. We prepare the rooms with care. Reception, reservations, and housekeeping work hand in hand here. There are also jobs where you take on administrative tasks. If you enjoy making sure guests have a great stay, this is the area for you!
Hotel Organization
The organization and administration department is where everything comes together—from management, marketing, purchasing, and human resources to accounting. This department is primarily concerned with planning, organization, and "brainwork." You should be good at math and strategic thinking, because this is where important decisions are made. If you prefer to work behind the scenes and enjoy planning, this is the job for you!

Dual education:
- Professional practice in the hotel industry
- Theory at the vocational college in Meschede (block teaching) or in Siegen or Bad Berleburg (1 to 2 school days per week)
Training allowance – as of August 2025:
- 1st year €1,200
- 2nd year €1,300
- 3rd year €1,400
- Starting salary after training from approx. €2,700
Internship
Career guidance: Take a look!
You can read a lot about a career in the hospitality industry, but it's even better to try it out for yourself. Why not do an internship on site? That way, you can see what everyday life in a hotel is really like, get to know the working environment, and meet the people you'll be spending a lot of time with later on during your training. For example, you can get a taste of what it's like on a career exploration day, do a school internship for a few weeks or longer, or start a voluntary internship during the school holidays. Just give it a try!

Job discovery tour
If you have the choice, you naturally want to get to know more than just one hotel! That's why our Job Discovery Tour lets you spend 3 or 5 consecutive days getting a taste of 3 or 5 different "star" hotels – a new hotel and a new experience every day!
Gap Year South Westphalia
